After digging into 6 other courses, this one had the most detailed step by step process. It also had the most helpful content with 3 separate guides covering both solar and wind. Each easy to follow mini guide is packed FULL of photos and illustrations showing how to build solar power. We had assembled a fully functioning (and money saving) DIY solar panel kits in less than a day (a fun family project for the kids too). We picked up all the parts we needed at the local hardware store and the total bill came to only $192.46 (I recouped that cost in just the first 3 months!). We also reviewed “Earth4Energy”. This is our 2nd choice among the solar panel kits. Its a fairly decent solar panel guide, but it is fairly basic. Like GreenDIYenergy, it addresses passive solar, do it yourself types of projects.
This guide was much better than the other 4 kits we purchased… but it wasn’t as detailed as we needed. With only 78 pages of material, it was missing important steps from the building solar panels for your home process. The cost of this guide is only $49.
